The Right Way to Defund The Police
The best reason I have heard to defund the police is to get rid of a bunch of union contracts and then hire back cheaper cops with no pensions---just 401Ks.
In fact we should "defund" teachers unions in exactly the same way.
Oh, and by the way, we should emphasize the following in order to improve the lives of the poor and oppressed
1) All fathers should provide for and raise their own children
2) Only married people should have children.
3) Finish high school
4) No children unless both parents have good jobs.
5) Don't have children until you are at least 21, married and both parents have good jobs.
Notice that our rules for staying out of poverty do not mention the police.
By the way, a bonus for following the anti poverty rules is that unless you work for the police department you will rarely encounter the police.
So we need the police unless you want rioters and looters entering your home and having their way with you and your family.
But we do not need public employee unions and we certainly don't need government pensions that will bankrupt us.
Defund government pensions: Problems solved!!!
