Maybe we need to set up a test, experimental "nursing home" that has been thoroughly tested and scanned and is virus free. Put a bunch of dummy receptors in beds and on couches and chairs (no humans patients). Now run a bunch of asymptomatic carriers through the fake "old folks home" and see what interactions are necessary to enable asymptomatic transmission to our dummy patients.
We don't necessarily have to do that particular experiment but it might be interesting to see what is required for actual transmission rather than theoretical transmission. Imagine if we found some novel method of transmission or acquisition that we never thought of before. Imagine if we could shut this novel transmission method down...
Then we do the same with a fake crowded subway train. No human passengers just dummy receptors. Then we let some asymptomatic guy on and see what he has to do infect the dummies. Is just breathing on them enough or does he have to spit on them crash test dummies?
